A recipe for the easiest and most flavorful bread in the world. I love focaccia with all its fun toppings and its olive oil! t can be hard to find a recipe for the perfect focaccia that is soft and fluffy but still has a tad-bit of crunch. But this focaccia recipe is truly wonderful. It leaves you with a golden, airy bread every time, regardless of whether you enjoy it plain or topped with your favorite ingredients. It’s a game-changer, making it easy to achieve that perfect balance in every bite.

Every Ingredient Matters!

All-purpose flour: The foundation of the focaccia, providing structure while allowing for a light and airy texture.

Water: Essential for hydrating the flour and activating the yeast, creating a moist dough that bakes up soft and fluffy.

Olive oil: Adds richness and flavor to the dough, and when drizzled on top, it helps achieve that crispy, golden crust.

Active dry yeast: This leavening agent helps the dough rise, resulting in a light and airy texture with those characteristic air pockets.

Salt: Enhances the flavor of the bread, making each bite more satisfying and balanced.

Sugar: A small amount of sugar feeds the yeast, helping it to activate and create a perfect rise.

Fresh rosemary (optional): Adds a fragrant, herbal note to the focaccia, making it even more delicious.

Sea salt flakes (optional): Sprinkled on top for a delightful crunch and an extra burst of flavor.

Uses for Focaccia Bread

Deli sandwiches: Slice the focaccia horizontally and fill it with your favorite deli meats, cheeses, and fresh veggies for a hearty and delicious sandwich.

Bruschetta: Cut the focaccia into slices, toast them, and top with fresh tomatoes, basil, mozzarella, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze for a tasty appetizer.

Pizza base: Transform your focaccia into a thick, flavorful pizza crust. Top with tomato sauce, cheese, and your favorite toppings, then bake until everything is perfectly melted and golden.

Soup dipper: Serve slices of focaccia alongside a bowl of soup. Its fluffy texture and crispy edges make it perfect for dipping into rich, hearty soups.

Salad accompaniment: Add a slice of focaccia to your favorite salad for a satisfying crunch and added flavor.

Stuffed focaccia: Before baking, stuff the dough with ingredients like cheese, olives, or sun-dried tomatoes for a flavorful surprise in every bite.
