Orange Cake

This orange bundt cake is:

  • Easy to make;
  • has minimal ingredients;
  • has strong orange flavor;
  • has a soft texture;
  • a fluffy crumb;
  • a moist interior;
  • Perfect for Mother’s Day, spring time, baby showers, vintage birthdays and more!

How to make the cake:

This cake is extremely easy to make. It requires minimal ingredients and is not difficult:

  1. First, combine the drys. The dries are are simply combined in a bowl. Sift it for a fluffier cake and for no crumbs;
  2. Next, Combine the wets. The wet ingredients are probably in your refrigerator. You will need an electric hand mixer to incorporate more air in your cake (for a fluffy yet tender and moist cake);
  3. Combine all. For this recipe you can literally dump all the ingredients together (after whipping the wets) and you will have a perfect cake. Just add the drys, yogurt, zest and juice all together;
  4. Bake.

Important ingredients:

Here are a few important ingredients to perfect this cake:

  • The butter and sugar: when you whip these they insure that the cake has a fluffy interior.
  • The corn starch: this insures that your cake is tender and soft. But you can skip it.
  • Salt: Balances out the sweetness

Any citrus:

For this cake you can swap out the orange juice and zest for any citrus fruit. I highly recommend lemons (and blueberry), limes, and grape fruit.
