Decadent, soft, sweet, light and fluffy. Making this cake is easy, fun, and yeilds amazing results. The batter is easily made in a bowl and can be baked for 20 minutes in a small 9 in pan. The results are stunning. I can't wait to share with you the best cake for small parties. Goes with any topping of choice!
Ingredients
- 1 and 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup milk of choice
- 2 tbsp canola/veggie oil
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
Instructions
- Prep a cakepan with a diameter of 9 in and preheat the oven to 350°F
- In a large bowl, sift the cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir to combine.
- In a medium sized bowl, whip your butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in your egg and beat until smooth. Add in your oil and vanilla then stir until combined.
- Add your wets into your dries and pour your milk. Fold until it forms a batter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
