One Layer chocolate cake

Decadent, soft, sweet, light and fluffy. Making this cake is easy, fun, and yeilds amazing results. The batter is easily made in a bowl and can be baked for 20 minutes in a small 9 in pan. Ingredients
  

  • 1 and 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice
  • 2 tbsp canola/veggie oil
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder

Instructions
 

  • Prep a cakepan with a diameter of 9 in and preheat the oven to 350°F
  • In a large bowl, sift the cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir to combine.
  • In a medium sized bowl, whip your butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in your egg and beat until smooth. Add in your oil and vanilla then stir until combined.
  • Add your wets into your dries and pour your milk. Fold until it forms a batter.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
