Ingredients

  • 1 and 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp corn starch
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter room temp.
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temp
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 cup yogurt (unflavored)
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 5 tbsp orange zest

For the glaze/icing

  • 2 tbsp orange juice
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

For the cake

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F or 180°C. Butter and flour a bundt pan (see note for other pans)
  • In a medium sized bowl, sift your flour, baking powder, baking soda, cornstarch and salt. Set aside.
  • With an electric mixer, beat your butter until lighter in color, add in your sugar and beat until they look like tiny clouds. Add in your eggs, one at a time and beat for two more minutes. Add some vanilla.
  • To your wets, add your dry ingredients, orange juice and zest and your yogurt. Mix with a saptula until fully combined. Evenly spread in your pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.

For the glaze:

  • Combine orange juice and sugar. Mix until it form a thick glaze. Drizzle onto cake.

Notes

Corn starch: For a fluffier cake.
Highly recommended but extra: While the cake is still in the pan (and very hot) add about 3 tbsp or orange juice and let it soak it up.
*The thicker the glaze the better*
Enjoy!!
