What is This Pasta?
Feta pasta is just a baked tomato and cheese sauce that is very creamy and flavorful! Since this recipe has recently been a very popular one I thought I would share my easy version! Many people did not enjoy the viral version of this recipe, however this version will make you want to go for seconds!

Here are a few more ways that you can customize this baked feta pasta if you would like:
- Add a protein:Ā Add some chicken or beef to the pasta for protein. I added some grilled chicken following the BBQ Pit Boys recipe.
- Add veggies:Ā Likewise, you are also welcome to cook some extra veggies to add to the pasta if you would like, such as broccoli, onions and mushrooms.
- Add extra herbs:Ā In this case I used some oregano, you can add rosemary or any other spice.
- Make it gluten-free:Ā Just use your preferred kind of gluten-free pasta, or you could also serve this over spiraled veggie noodles (like squash noodles).
- Make it spicier:Ā Add more chill for this alteration.
- Use roasted garlic:Ā Roast your garlic before adding it in.
- Use a base other than pasta:Ā Make this a spread for bread or on rice.

Can you make this with crumbled feta cheese or block cheese?
Both work, I personally prefer crumbled.
Can you make this with any other type of cheese?
Yes, it works for goat cheese or any other creamy cheese.
What is the best type of pasta to use in this reicpe?
This works for penne, spaghetti, bow-tie and the works. Try to use a curvy and clingy pasta.
How long does this keep?
This pasta is best served straight out of the baking dish. If you have any leftovers save it for a few days.
Feta Pasta
Ingredients
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes
- 1 cup crumbled feta
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp oregano
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper sauce
- 2 cloves garlic
- salt to taste
- 1 cup ricotta or cream cheese
- 2 cups fusilli pasta
- water to cook pasta
- shredded cheese of choice
- 1/2 cup fresh basil
On the side
- 4 thin chicken breasts
- salt
- cajun
Instructions
- preheat to oven to 375F or 190C and boil your pasta until soft and larger than before.
- In a pan add your tomatoes, olive oil, oregano, salt, minced garlic, and spicy pepper. Stir and add feta to the center. Bake for 30 minutes until soft. Mash with fork and add ricotta/cream cheese. Add your pasta and 1/2 of the basil. Stir until combined. Add some shredded cheese and more basil on top and bake for 10 more minutes. Enjoy!
On the side
- Coat your chicken with a generous amount of cajun and some salt. Grill until cooked through yet still soft. Serve with pasta! Enjoy
